Walkable Location in historic Lincolnville

The Neighborhood

Located in the heart of downtown St. Augustine in the quiet and safe residential neighborhood of Lincolnville. Lincolnville, named after Abraham Lincoln himself, is a small downtown community with a tremendous amount of history dating back to the 1500’s. It’s known for its great accomplishments in equality, major historical events & deep roots.

The neighborhood is known for its friendly demeanor, southern hospitality and is a laid back and caring community with a small town feel. It’s a beautiful neighborhood to take a stroll or bike ride under the old whispering mossy oaks while enjoying looking at the homes which are filled with history and truly unique. You will come across small cottages, bungalows to old southern mansions. Lincolnville is mostly noted for its gorgeous authentic old Victorian style homes and bungalows. If you love architecture and historic homes this town will definitely be enjoyable eye candy for you.

Travelers often remark that we are close enough to everything to park the car for the whole trip and walk everywhere, but also tucked back enough to enjoy a quiet and relaxing evening and truly feel like a local.

Most of the time the neighborhood is very quiet, but occasionally a neighbor may have a gathering (during the day), or someone may be working on their house, you will see people walking their dogs, or someone may be doing landscaping. In other words, there are direct close neighbors so if you are looking for a remote rural property with no neighbors, this is not it. However, our Hen House is in downtown which makes it convenient to enjoy all of the treasures and tourist attractions of the town while still feeling like a local.

Festivals

Nights of Lights

In Saint Augustine there is a festival almost every weekend. Our most noted festival of the year is the beautiful “Nights of Lights” that runs from the weekend before Thanksgiving through the 31st of January. This is a spectacular experience if you have never been. We’d highly recommend a visit during this time! The city is just breathtaking!
