Curated by your hosts at Pink Hen House
St. Augustine's shopping is not a mall. It is a pedestrian street lined with independent shops and cafés, an old neighborhood of galleries, and a museum that is itself a reason to cross town.
We are being honest about this one: we have not published a boutique or gallery list of our own. What follows is where the shopping is; the specifics need our own picks.
8 min walk
St. George Street
The pedestrian street at the center of the historic district, lined with shops and cafés. It is where souvenirs happen — and where the independent stores are, if you keep walking past the first few.

St. George Street
The historic pedestrian street at the heart of the old city.
West King Street
A blossoming part of town west of the old city, with the smaller galleries and bars that have moved in. Bog Brewery is the anchor we have written about.
Museums and galleries
The Lightner Museum is the big one — Gilded Age collections in the former Hotel Alcazar, and a building worth the trip on its own. Flagler College, the former Hotel Ponce de León across the street, is open for tours and the courtyard alone is worth the detour.

What we still need
The boutiques and galleries we actually buy from, and the market days worth planning around. None of that is on our old site, so it is not here yet.

Where it all is, from the Hen House
The hen marks our block in Lincolnville. Walking times appear only where we have measured them.
Good to know
- St. George Street is busiest midday; early afternoon or after dinner is calmer.
- Wear shoes for brick and coquina streets.
